Saying Goodbye to Junk…Mostly
by cbeckley - October 8th, 2009.Filed under: Eating Natural. Tagged as: additives, natural, organic, preservatives.
Since moving to Portland, my family and I have become more aware of the junk we used to put into our bodies. Now we are striving to eat more organic, natural products without so many additives, preservatives and junk. Obviously it is more expensive to eat that way, but in the long run, we think it will help us live longer (unless the preservatives we eat actually “preserve” our bodies longer
– unlikely ). We’re not perfect and we’re not snobs. We will sometimes eat bad food that we know has junk in it, but we are striving to better ourselves a little at a time.
Finding out my wife is intolerant to dairy and soy has forced us to rethink what she eats everyday. We are constantly trying out new things and trying to find ways for her to eat good and hopefully not break the bank.
This blog is going to be about the different ways we eat and live healthier and some of the interesting facts that we find out about foods and junk around us.
